Alright folks, you all know the drill by now. Skyrocketing gasoline prices at the pump are ever increasingly higher with each new reckoning day and more so here in beautiful and sunny San Diego and So-Cal. Financial analysts recently writing on major publications such as the Financial Times of London, the Investors Business Daily and the Wall Street Journal are forecasting $5-6/gal right around the corner and here to stay. It is a big significant cost factor of doing business. Therefore, effective immediately as of this posting today, in order to provide and continue to maintain our excellent service standards we are reluctantly implementing a fuel surcharge of .50 cents per mile on two of our rates to be applied additionally to each work order rate’s total. Actual mileage charged will be the most direct route from point of origin (the pickup) to point of destination (the dropoff) as calculated by Google Maps feature integrated into our courier logistics solutions software.
PLEASE NOTE: This added fuel surcharge will only apply to REGULAR and EXPRESS work orders. EXEMPT from added fuel surcharge are ALL-DAY and STAT work orders. All subject to change without notice.
